Virus Corona Membuat Rupiah Melemah Ke Rp13.873

BERITA RAKYAT – Pagi ini, mayoritas mata uang di kawasan Asia menguat terhadap dolar AS. Terpantau, won Korea menguat 0,66 persen, dolar Singapura 0,19 persen, dan dolar Taiwan 0,18 persen.

Selanjutnya, ringgit Malaysia juga menguat 0,18 persen, diikuti baht Thailand 0,16 persen, dan dolar Hong Kong 0,01 persen. Di sisi lain, pelemahan terjadi pada yen Jepang sebesar 0,23 persen, peso Filipina 0,18 persen, yuan China 0,04 persen, serta lira Turki 0,03 persen.

Kemudian di negara maju, mayoritas nilai tukar juga melemah terhadap dolar AS. poundsterling Inggris dan euro sama-sama melemah dengan nilai 0,03 persen. Sementara, dolar Australia menguat 0,14 persen, dan dolar Kanada di posisi stagnan terhadap dolar AS.

Kepala Riset PT Monex Investindo Futures Ariston Tjendra menilai pelemahan rupiah masih disebabkan oleh sentimen negatif wabah virus corona.

“Sepekan terakhir, kekhawatiran pasar kembali meningkat karena penyebaran virus corona menunjukkan kenaikan di beberapa lokasi atau negara di luar pusat wabah, provinsi Hubei China, seperti di Korea, Jepang, Iran, Italia.”

Menurut Ariston, kekhawatiran tersebut mendorong pasar masuk ke aset safe haven, seperti emas dan obligasi pemerintah AS, sehingga harga emas melejit dan terus naik.

Selain itu, yield obligasi pemerintah AS yang tenor 10 tahun terus turun ke area 1,47 persen setelah sebelumnya berkonsolidasi di kisaran 1,6 persen juga turut menjadi sentimen negatif. “Harga aset berisiko bisa lanjut tertekan, termasuk rupiah,” ujarnya.

Lebih lanjut, Ariston berpendapat rupiah bergerak di kisaran Rp13.760 hingga Rp13.900 per dolar AS pada hari ini.
