Harga Minyak Dunia Lepas dari Tekanan

BERITARAKYAT -Mengutip Antara, minyak mentah berjangka Brent untuk pengiriman April naik 74 sen atau 1,4 persen menjadi US$54,01 per barel. Sementara, minyak mentah berjangka West Texas Intermediate (WTI) untuk pengiriman April nauk 37 sen atau 0,8 persen ke level US$49,94 per barel.

Melambatnya jumlah kasus Virus Corona di China meredakan kekhawatiran pasar atas potensi anjloknya permintaan minyak mentah di China. Epidemi itu telah merenggut lebih dari 1.013 nyawa di China hingga Selasa (11/2). Sementara jumlah penderita virus asal Wuhan itu menjadi 42.500 kasus.

Namun demikian, jumlah kasus baru dikonfirmasi turun. Penasihat medis utama pemerintah China memprediksi epidemi ini berakhir pada April.

“Pasar yang berada di posisi terbawah menjadi optimis dan terlihat melampaui (kekhawatiran) virus,” kata Phil Flynn, seorang analis di Price Futures Group di Chicago.

Penyebaran Virus Corona menimbulkan kekhawatiran pasar karena negara dengan konsumsi terbesar kedua di dunia itu memangkas permintaannya. Perusahaan penyulingan China berencana memotong 940 ribu barel per hari (bph), atau hampir satu persen dari permintaan dunia pada Februari.

Meski jumlah kasus baru melambat, investor tetap waspada pelemahan permintaan minyak China dapat memberikan pukulan pada harga. Selain itu, pasar menilai Organisasi Negara-negara Pengekspor Minyak (OPEC) serta sekutunya, yang dikenal sebagai OPEC+, gagal menyepakati langkah-langkah untuk menjaga harga minyak.

“Kurangnya tindakan terkoordinasi oleh OPEC+ menimbulkan kekhawatiran kelebihan pasokan kemungkinan akan tetap terjadi,” kata analis Commerzbank Eugen Weinberg.
