Ed Sheeran Umumkan Bakal Vakum dari Musik

Berita Rakyat – Ed Sheeran menginginkan kehidupan personal dan pekerjaan berjalan dengan seimbang. Selama, dua tahun ke belakang, sejak 2017, ia merasa dirinya terlalu banyak bekerja tanpa jeda.

Menjelang 2020, pelantun ‘Shape of You’ itu mengumumkan dirinya akan beristirahat sejenak dari industri musik. Hal itu diungkapkan olehnya di akun Instagram-nya, @teddysphotos.

“Halo semua. Aku akan kembali beristirahat lagi,” bukanya. “Era ‘Divide’ (album) dan tur telah mengubah hidupku lewat banyak cara, namun ini waktunya untuk pergi dan melihat lebih banyak yang ada di dunia,” tulisnya.

Selain akan beristirahat dari dunia musik, solois asal Inggris itu juga tidak akan menggunakan media sosial miliknya sampai ia kembali.

Waktu jedanya itu tidak hanya akan ia gunakan untuk istirahat namun juga untuk mencari inspirasi. Maka di akhir pernyataan ia berjanji akan melahirkan karya baru saat kembali.

“Untuk semua keluarga dan teman-teman, sampai bertemu pada waktunya dan pada penggemarku, terima kasih untuk selalu menjadi luar biasa,” kata Ed Sheeran.

“Aku berjanji akan kembali dengan lagu baru ketika waktunya sudah tepat dan aku akan mendalami kehidupan sehingga aku punya sesuatu untuk ku tulis,” sambungnya.

Terhitung Ed Sheeran memang telah tampil dalam kurang-lebih 280 panggung sejak Maret 2017.
