BERITA RAKYAT -KPU akhirnya menetapkan Peraturan KPU (PKPU) Nomor 20 Tahun 2018 Tentang Pencalonan Anggota DPR, DPRD Provinsi dan DPRD Kabupaten/Kota pada 30 Juni 2018.
Satu di antara poin PKPU tersebut mengenai pengaturan larangan mantan narapidana kasus korupsi mendaftarkan diri sebagai calon wakil rakyat atau calon anggota legislatif (Nyaleg).
Hal ini kemudian mendapatkan respons yang pro dan kontra. Dilansir dari situs resmi KPU RI, www.kpu.go.id, KPU telah menerbitkan PKPU tersebut pada Sabtu (30/6/2018).
PKPU ini akan menjadi pedoman KPU melaksanakan tahapan pencalonan Anggota DPR, DPRD Provinsi dan DPRD Kabupaten/Kota dalam Pemilu 2019. Larangan koruptor menjadi Caleg tertera pada Pasal 7 Ayat 1 huruf h, berbunyi “Bukan mantan terpidana bandar narkoba, kejahatan seksual terhadap anak, atau korupsi”.
Ditetapkannya PKPU itu, maka ketentuan tentang larangan koruptor mencalonkan diri menjadi anggota legislatif sudah bisa diterapkan pada masa pendaftaran bakal Caleg mendatang.
Selain itu, KPU juga telah mempersiapkan pelaksanaan tahapan pengajuan bakal calon Anggota DPR, DPRD Provinsi dan DPRD Kabupaten/Kota dalam Pemilu 2019, seperti formulir-formulir pencalonan dan daftar rumah sakit yang memenuhi syarat sebagai tempat pemeriksaan kesehatan dalam rangka pemenuhan syarat calon.
Adapun pendaftaran bakal calon anggota DPR RI, DPRD provinsi, DPRD kabupaten atau kota untuk Pemilu 2019 akan dibuka mulai 4 hingga 17 Juli 2018.
